and

limx0xβ1=\lim_{x\to 0}|x|^{\beta-1}=\infty

since 0<β<10<\beta<1. Hence,

limx0f(x)x\lim_{x\to 0}\frac{f(x)}{x}

does not exist, and ff is therefore not differentiable at 00.
